A Production Manager is a professional who oversees the production process and coordinates all activities to ensure enough resources on hand. They can plan workers' schedules, estimate costs, and prepare budgets to ensure workflow meets required deadlines. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES o Planning and organizing the team o assessing project and resource requirements o liaise with different departments, teams, and companies, e.g., suppliers, managers, clients o Work with the employees to implement the company's policies and goals o Collate and analyses data, putting together production reports o Set the quality standards o ensure customer orders are completed on time and to budget and that quality standards and targets are met o review worker performance and identify training needs. o supervise and motivate a team of workers o ensuring that health and safety regulations are met o Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing team o Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality o Monitor and regulate staffing needs to ensure optimum staffing levels are supporting business demands o Interview and hire production staff in conjunction with Operations Manager and/or General Manager approval to support operation needs o Oversee consumable and equipment stock and tracking programs for increased financial effectiveness o Implement cost control programs or procedures o Manage fleet vehicles: monthly vehicle inspections, fuel consumption, GPS tracking, proper cleanliness, record monthly kms on pool vehicles, budget maintenance and/or replacement of vehicle fleet, approve vehicle repairs, and direct vehicle assignments o Collaborate with management for preparation of schedule o Audit and implement policies/procedures and production levels o Monitor and schedule orientation and other training for new and existing employees in conjunction with Health and Safety o Comply with all BELFOR policie
